Advertising and Sponsorship
There a few types of “advertising” available through SittingDuckPolicy.com:
- Product/Service Review: If you have a product or service you’d like us to review, please contact us with your details and contact information. We will review your request and make arrangements with you if we select to review your product/service. These are not paid reviews. Any compensation or consideration will be disclosed in the review.
- Pro-Self-Defense Organization Mention: If you represent a pro-self-defense organization and would like to be listed in our Pro-Self-Defense Organizations list, please contact us. Include your name, title, company name, a public statement/document indicating your pro-self-defense status, and URL to be linked to. We will review your request and add you to the list pending approval. These are not paid links.
- Supporters: If you support what SittingDuckPolicy.com is doing and would like to support us by spreading the work and linking back to us please contact us. Include your name, the URL to which your link to us occurs, and the title and URL of the page you’d like us to link back to. We will review your request and add you to the list pending approval. These are not paid links.
- Paid Advertisements (Google Ads): We run Google Ads on every page to help offset the costs associated with running the site. When we get enough paid sponsors we will likely remove the Google Ads. In the meantime, if you see a product or service in a Google Ad do not hesitate to follow that link. These links are paid by advertisers to Google through their AdWords service. We get a certain amount for each click made on one of these links. That said, we’re not encouraging or asking you to click any links, Google or otherwise.
- Paid Advertisements (Sponsorships): If you think your product, service, or website might be of interest to SittingDuckPolicy.com readers you are welcome to purchase a paid sponsorship tile. This tile is an image (provided by you) hyperlinked to a URL of your cho0sing. There are a limited number of these tiles available and are purchased in calander month blocks (you can purchase as little as 1 month, or as many months as you want). These are offered on a first-come-first-served basis, to the highest-bidder. Please contact us with your offer, how best to contact you, a link to the image you’d like us to use (125px by 125px; png, gif, or jpg), and the image “alt” text you’d like use. We will review your request and contact you for final arrangements.
- Other: If you would like to advertise or promote your site, product, or service in a manner that we have not mentioned, please contact us.
