Gun Blunder While Sledding

January 18th, 2012 Posted in Good guys with guns Tags: , , ,

Today’s Good Guys with Guns™ is a little different than most. Rather than relating a story about someone who was able to use a firearm in self-defense, it’s a look at the other-side: someone prepared to use a firearm in defense of self or others… but in an innocent scenario where the use of a firearm wasn’t needed.

Dear Fellow Responsibly Armed Citizen,

I just want to share a quick story with you that happened to me over New Years weekend…

My daughter and I were sledding at one of the local hills, although I like to consider it more of a mountain. :)

As I was making my way back to the top of the hill I see a guy going down on his tube while laying on his stomach and just as he hit the jump, his firearm fell out of its holster and slid down the remainder of the hill.

Just a reminder to be smart about where and how you carry. It is our job as responsibly armed citizens to quietly carry.
